Pulmonary blastoma is a rare primary lung tumor consisting of a mixture of blastomatous and
immature-looking epithelial and mesenchymal components. The histogenesis is not clarified. This
disease is first described by Barnard in 1952 as “embryoma of lung” because of its resemblance to
fetal lungs. In 1961, Spencer reported three new cases and suggested the name ^pulmonary blastoma”
because of the resemblance to nephroblastoma... |
